The In-Laws is a hilariously awesome movie to watch. It's about a father who works for the C.I.A. and is juggling his job and his son's wedding at the same time. The father of the bride ends up getting swept up into the agents current case and is basically panicking through out the entire movie trying to get away from him. The C.I.A agent is on a deep undercover mission to steal a smuggler's client list by being the middle man of a submarine purchase deal. The F.B.I. is constantly on their tail for they have no clue as to what's really going on. The agent, while trying to do his job is at the same time trying to get along with his new in-law.
This movie is hilarious from start to finish. It was repeatedly playing on Ion channel so you might still have a chance to catch it. I highly recommend you watch it if you have the chance. My rating is 4 out of 5 Rants due to it being funny and entertaining.
this in laws was okay. nothing compared to the original. 1979 - Peter Falk and Alan Arkin do a character build and are hilarious. the "Serpentine" scene alone will crack you up everytime. It was lower budget but no computers back then. More believable, like, you could be the average dentist guy and this nut gets you involved. Script was more connected and as it happens. Peter Falk (RIP 2011) was one of the most diversified actors ever...here he does comedy with impeccable timing, and Arkin's reactionary character is also hysterical. Understandit was a different time and decade, all stunts and no computer gimmicks, so you have to have the right frame of mind. People jammed the theaters to see this by word of mouth at the time and it became the comedy hit of the summer.
