Doctor Who: A Good Man Goes To War

Doctor Who: A Good Man Goes To War
I have recently watched the latest Doctor Who episode and the ending had my jaw drop!

If you have been keeping up with the series so far then you all already know that Amy had been kidnapped a long time ago and that the Amy that was with Rory and The Doctor was just a flesh clone.

Once the flesh clone was deactivated, Amy woke up realizing that not only was she pregnant, but ready to give birth. She named her new born daughter Melody Pond. The people of the Gama Forest had her captive to utilize her child as a weapon against The Doctor.

As to who these soldiers are, I have no clue. One soldier named Laura seemed to have met The Doctor when she was little, but he didn't know who she was. I'm guessing she's from his future just like River Song is.

The Doctor forms a small army in order to rescue Amy and her new born daughter only to find out that the baby was just a flesh clone and that the real one had already been taken away. The battle with the headless monks was simply a diversion or a trap if you prefer for The Doctor. Then suddenly River Song appears.

The Doctor insisted that she tell him who she really is. She then points to the cot that was meant for Amy's baby and says "I am telling you who I am". The cot had Galifreyan writing on it (which the Tardis wont translate). The Doctor suddenly gets excited and leaves in his Tardis stating that he knows where to find Melody.

Amy then insisted with a gun aimed at River Song that she reveal to her what she had just told The Doctor. River Song then explains that the people of the Gama Forest have no words for Melody and nor for Pond within their language.... She finally reveals that her name, River Song, translates into.... Melody Pond! That's right! River Song is Amy Pond's daughter!!! My jaw dropped when I saw that. I couldn't believe it!

Since this was the mid-season finale, we wont be seeing any new episodes for at least three months until autumn. All I can say is that I can't fucking wait for the next episode! I wish we didn't have to wait so long.
