So I was watching the latest episode of Adventure Time; Finn discovered that in his past life he used to be a one armed girl. In this episode you also learn that Princess Bubblegum is a lot older than 19 like she claims to be. However, this isn't the first clue to how old she really is.
In an earlier episode it was revealed that it was Princess Bubblegum who had imprisoned Flame Princess because of the danger she posed. They showed Flame Princess still a baby, however Princess Bubblegum looked exactly the same age she does now. I didn't pay much attention to this at first, but after seeing the latest episode I started to see the connections.
There was an episode where Marceline the Vampire Queen was telling Finn and Jake the story of her and Ice King (aka Simone). In the flashback Marceline was a little girl not long after the great mushroom war. She and Simone were traveling together and Simone went on a quest to find her chicken soup since she was really sick. By the end of the story, there was a pink goo that gave Simone the soup and can opener he needed. The goo was similar to gum. This got me thinking, what if that was Princess Bubblegum the whole time?
A lot of the people in the world of Ooo today are mutations, leaving Finn to be the only human left. The mushroom nuke was the main cause of all these mutations including the Lich King. So what if that pink goo was actually PB who manifested due to the effects of the bomb and had yet taken humanoid form? In which case, if that really was her, then that would mean she's almost as old as Marceline and Ice King. What are your opinions on the matter?
