Yu-Gi-Oh - Bonds Beyond Time

Yu-Gi-Oh: Bonds Beyond Time is a movie made to celebrate it's 10th anniversary. Watching this movie brought back a lot of memories of when I used to watch the original show and play the tcg (trading card game). This movie was only fifty minutes long. Short, but worth the watch.

I still remember the very first episode of the first Yu-Gi-Oh series (second series in Japan). The episode that started it all for many of us. The first duel of the show where Yugi defeated Kaiba by using Exodia the Forbidden One. Ever since then there have been two other series continuing from this one. Yu-Gi-Oh GX and Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's both came after the original show and take place in the future. As we all should know the main characters for these three series are Yugi Muto, Jaden Yuki, and Yusei Fudo.

The villian of the movie is named Paradox and he comes from a future even further than Yusei's. In his future everything is left in ruins. He believed that the cause for this were Duel Monsters. So he decided to go back in time to change his timeline. Paradox goes back in time to both Yusei's and Jaden's eras in order to steal Duel Monsters to enable him to use the "Malefic" versions in battle. He then goes back in time to Yugi's era in an attempt to kill Pegasus (the creator of Duel Monsters) to prevent his future from happening. The three main characters team up in an epic duel against Paradox.

This movie was very nostalgic as we see all three characters use their best monsters in battle. Paradox was a very skilled duelist. On his opening turn alone he was able to bring out two 4000 atk monsters. It took all three of them together in order to defeat him. The duel was pretty much the whole movie but it was pretty awesome.

As to how Paradox was able to time travel, trap Stardust Dragon in a blank card, and make the monsters real is unknown. However, the movie is still worth the watch and I recommend every Yu-Gi-Oh fan should see it. To 10 great years of Yu-Gi-Oh and great memories playing the game.
